A joyful phone call

On Sunday evening, I got a phone call that made me very happy. It was Carmen and Mario, two wonderful people I have known for three years and who have become like older siblings to me. A few minutes before it, Carmen had texted me asking if we could FaceTime. Little could I have imagined that this call would turn into an incredible surprise that would fill me with such indescribable joy.

As we were catching up, I shared some details about my life and classes. The conversation took an intriguing turn when Carmen, sitting in the car with Mario, asked me about the weather in Granada on April 13. I had no idea why she wanted to know that until she happily revealed the reason for her question: she proudly showed her engagement ring. The happiness that overcame me translated into loud, joyful screams for the next ten minutes. Even my roommates woke up to see what was going on. I am convinced that the entire university heard the news as well.

This was not just a celebration of Carmen and Mario's engagement; it was a testament to the beautiful example of love and partnership they consistently embody. They are a fantastic example of a loving couple as they know how to take care of each other and how to make each other happy. They are what I hope for in the future.

I have been praying for Carmen and Mario's happiness for a long time, and seeing them take this significant step fills my heart with joy. Their engagement is not just a personal milestone. It is a source of inspiration for everyone around them. Their love story brightens the lives of those fortunate enough to witness it.

I could not be more glad for them and look forward to the journey of love and companionship that awaits these two extraordinary people.
