My cousins
My cousins are one of the most significant people in my life. We are 11 in total, with 5 girls and 6 boys. I am the fifth cousin in line, right in the middle. This means I get the best of both worlds. When I need advice or just someone to talk to, I can always count on the older ones. When the younger ones need advice they can always count on me.
Whether things are tough or I am going through hard times, my cousins are there to help me. Their presence is a strong pillar which shows me that in our family we always take care of each other. In life's ups and downs, them being there always makes me feel better, turning sad moments into chances for all of us to be strong and grow. The times when we stick together are very special to me because they show how strong our connection is.
They hold a special place in my heart because I have a lot of great memories with them. Growing up, we all spent our summers together in a charming town in the north of Spain called Bueu. That is what made us close. We used to go on walks on the beach to find crabs and fishes, and on Sundays, we would all go together to buy candy after going to Mass, creating cherished memories that strengthened that bond.
Specifically, I am very close in age with Ana. She’s like my partner in crime and always brings a smile to my face. Just a few hours ago, she told me she's coming to visit me in Elon from Spain in late February! Thinking about all the times we've spent together and the countless memories waiting to be made makes me so happy.
We all are a big team, always there for each other. The countdown for Christmas has begun, and I can't wait for the day when I get to see my cousins, share laughs, and create more unforgettable memories together. I am very excited because in less than two weeks I will be reunited with these wonderful individuals who hold such a significant place in my life.
